"The world was filled with people who carry secrets。 No one was who they seemed to be。"。🥰 - I found this book to definitely be entertaining & I really enjoyed the first half of the book。 A very quick read。。🤔 - Not as "thrilling" as I was hoping/expecting。 First half of the story really grabbed me & I was excited, but the second half, after the switch, was so-so & mostly filled with all back story。 Ending was good。。📚 - It would be a good book for a Book Group to read during a busy month because i "The world was filled with people who carry secrets。 No one was who they seemed to be。"。🥰 - I found this book to definitely be entertaining & I really enjoyed the first half of the book。 A very quick read。。🤔 - Not as "thrilling" as I was hoping/expecting。 First half of the story really grabbed me & I was excited, but the second half, after the switch, was so-so & mostly filled with all back story。 Ending was good。。📚 - It would be a good book for a Book Group to read during a busy month because it is an easy/fast read & there is some discussion on "what would you do"?。❗- Domestic abuse 。。。more

Interesting and intriguing premise。 Some plot points are a little forced, but overall, I enjoyed this book and was curious about both protagonists。

Two desperate women trade flights in an effort to disappear, to take on new identities and new lives, running from men and situations that have become untenable 。 The theme is well stated in this quote: "。。。it's a system tag tells women we are unreliable and then expendable。 That our truths don't matter when set side by side with a man's。" p。 301。 Some good suspense, but really few surprises。 Two desperate women trade flights in an effort to disappear, to take on new identities and new lives, running from men and situations that have become untenable 。 The theme is well stated in this quote: "。。。it's a system tag tells women we are unreliable and then expendable。 That our truths don't matter when set side by side with a man's。" p。 301。 Some good suspense, but really few surprises。 。。。more

What a journeyTruly enjoyed this story。 Never read anything like it。claire an Eva are more alike than they could have ever imagined。 There story crosses, like a lot of real life people。 Was fun yo read!

I was more than 75% done and I was waiting for it to get suspenseful which never happened。。。 wouldn’t recommend it

I read this book in about 2 days。 I could not put it down! The only thing that bugged me, that I still think about it, is that Claire shouldn’t have brought her laptop when she switched tickets with Eva。 I mean。。。 has anyone used Find My iPhone? It’ll find your Mac, haha

Stephanie

Wow! This book was not what I expected, in a good way。 Two women in very different circumstances, both trying to disappear and start over。 It was suspenseful with girl-power vibes to boot! I recommend it, a perfect beach read。 The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because of some way-too-coincidental plot points, but a very enjoyable read overall。

I could not put the book down。 It was racy, fast-paced, and had the feel。 It was really good。

2。5 stars rounded up because I appreciate the author’s message

Super engaging and a fast read, I really couldn't put it down。 A story of women showing up for each other。 It has me asking how I can be a better friend and sister。 Super engaging and a fast read, I really couldn't put it down。 A story of women showing up for each other。 It has me asking how I can be a better friend and sister。 。。。more

Fajn thriller, který se četl rychle a jeho konec byl skvělý, ale četla jsem už i lepší 🙈

Amy Levine

I loved this book。 True page turner!

Diane Chudyk

Interesting twists!

Amy

I really enjoyed it。

Stacey Knutson

Was okayStarted out great! But ended quite abruptly。 Not the ending I was expecting。 Wish the author would have expanded on some of the suspense instead of being false alarms。

Chrissie

Page turner, but anticlimactic。

Finally a thriller that lives up to the hype。 This book evoked so many emotions in me。 Anger, fear, sympathy, pity to name a few。 I normally do not enjoy books that bounce back and fourth between characters and time-lines。 However, I had no trouble following this poignant story。Claire and Eva are two woman that have to make impossible choices and both of their stories will move you。

I found this book really didn’t hold my attention as much as I hoped it would。 The author did a great job of creating a creeping sense of dread with the dual timelines and POVs, and the story was well plotted and very intricate。 I guess it was deliberate to have Claire’s chapters in first person and Eva’s in third person, but it actually made it hard for me to switch between chapters。 Overall I felt this book was just ok。

A bit contrived and unrealistic。 Although a good beach read

This book held my attention and I was constantly wondering where we were headed。 I enjoyed the stories of two women that met at an airport, switched plane tickets, and had to deal with the consequences of that choice, as well as their other life choices。 Great read!

Rachel

I LOVED this book! Well-written, SO suspenseful and a definite page turner。 It kept me guessing all the way through。 It was smart and had a satisfying end。 HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone。 I also liked the underlying message of female power and the need to be yourself。

Ellen Miller

A page turner and rather nerve racking at times too。
